Monday's Mischief | Lottie's Birthday Treats.

This weekend would definitely see Lottie get up to some mischief as it was her birthday. On Saturday Lottie was the BIG 3 (Or 21 in human years). In this household her birthdays are a big event and we make sure she has plenty of fuss and new toys/treats.

It certainly lived up to its expectations and she had a great birthday. We had some lovely friends come over and Lottie was more than happy to see them on her birthday.

She had lots of new presents which included a Kong Quest Bone, Shake 'a' Fox, 'Hide A Treat' treat ball, rubber stick and a selection of treats.  I will review them all in an upcoming post so be sure to look out for that.

Here's a message from Lottie:

Hello everybody, I had a pawsome birthday. I got lots of fuss not only from my human but we had more humans over which I loved! They all brought me nice presents and gave me lots of cuddles. Mum says I did spoil myself slightly as I had a bit of a run in with a bird (I did warn them about feeding them in the first place). Mum says the bird was already poorly but once I saw it I finished it off. It's not my fault I was just acting on instinct. I really was very sorry afterwards and me and the humans soon made up. (That sad face works every time!). Thanks to everybody that wished me Happy Birthday on my Facebook page I have such lovely friends.

I was one spoilt doggy!

Come on Mum are we done I just wanna play!

Meet my new friend Mr Fox.

This new treat ball is so much fun.

Look they even wrap my presents!

Monday Mischief: Birds Eye View

Right on cue, yet again. Lottie got up to some mischief today. I'm sure she must be psychic and knows about this blog hop.

I have felt a little better today and managed to sit outside in my wheelchair for half an hour for an ice cream. During that time I was able to have Lottie on my knee as she cant hurt my scar whilst I'm in my wheelchair. As most of you will of gathered she was extremely pleased about this.

I was sitting right next to our patio table and the next thing I know she had crept onto the table and
was using it to get a better view of our garden.

Of course I was not impressed and told her to get off (Once I had taken a photo). She knew she had done wrong because she sat beside me for the rest of the time I was outside. Next time I go outside our cuddles will be nowhere our patio table!

Monday's Mischief - Please tell me you didn't need that bag mum?

I'm fairly sure when we had Lottie we should have called her mischief as she seems to be getting up to a lot of it lately.

Earlier today I was lying on the sofa as I cant do much at the moment due to my operation. I could hear rustling in the bedroom and knew straight away Lottie was up to something! I called her but no response. I shouted louder and louder but still nothing. In the end I had to get my mum to go in to see what was happening. Here's the result!

Needless to say she is in my bad books and a yummy treat will definitely be off the cards for tonight. I am just so glad it was only a paper Primark bag she ripped and not something more important! (I didn't let her know that though, I acted as if it was my best pair of shoes).

What it is with dogs and ripping things, Lottie loves tissues and if you leave one even just for a second its shredded more than shredded wheat!

I'm sure Lottie knows about Monday Mischief blog hop as she always seems to do something so I have a post to write about. Maybe she is just trying to take my mind off my painful recovery.

Black and White Sunday - Play Time

I think in every dog they always have a favourite toy type. Some dogs enjoy balls, whist some prefer the soft cuddly toys.

When Lottie was around 6 months old we brought her a Good Boy Space Lobber toy. From the day they first met she has definitely picked it as her favourite.

After one of her many play dates with Jack, who doesn't play so gentle it tore.

My doggy spending has been minimal recently so today I decided to treat her to a new one. Needless to say she was highly impressed with my purchase.

Does your dog have a favourite toy that they chose above the rest?

Please do not try this at home!

Lottie wants to warn all of her doggy friends not to try this at home! Here she tells you why...

A big hello to all my doggy friends. Listen up now, what I am about to tell you is really important and please don't make the same mistake I did. The humans have been doing some home improvements in the last few weeks ready for when mum goes in for her surgery. Some don't affect me at all and I let them go about their DIY business as normal. Replaced gravel however, is high on my list of priorities to check out. After all it is the area I use for the toliet. Only the best for me!

They had decided on some lovely plum slate which was a big improvement on the annoying tiny little gravel they had before, getting a piece of that between your pads is honestly worse than stepping on a plug (trust me I know!).

I was let outside for a few minutes while mum cleaned out the Chinchilla, unfortunately she is not by best friend and I can get a bit jealous when she gets all the attention. To make sure they were aware of how disapproving I was of the situation I decided to cause a bit of mischief. Imagine suddenly lying there one minute and the next you see a big black thing crawling across the gravel. I obviously leapt to my feet and went to investigate. The damn thing moved too quick and by the time I got there it had disappeared. I used my amazing sense of smell to see if I could find the little pest. That method failed so I used the only method I had left. I started to dig and knew I would get in big trouble for this, but that annoying part in my brain just took over and I just couldn't stop. I kept thinking to myself I only went to the dog groomers yesterday I am going to need a dreaded bath again, but my paws just kept digging uncontrollably.

This is the result of my moment of madness. Even my little garden friends took a hit!

Before I could get any further the back door swung open and there stood a very angry mum. She shouted very loudly and I was immediately taken in! Straight into the bathroom and placed in the bath for the inevitable to start!

I really am sorry mum!

I daren't look!

All clean now.

That ten minutes of trying to find that pest was definitely not worth it! Mum has been a bit cross with me ever since. A special treat is certainly off the cards for tonight! If any of you get the urge to dig I advise you to take up another sport that is equally satisfying. I find chasing my tail is just as fun and from now on that is what I shall be doing instead.

Why of why did I do it?
