Wordless Wednesday | I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
Mums been Christmas shopping and look what she got ME! Doggy mince pies. They certainly look very yummy.
She's been a right meany though and says I have to wait until the big day to try one. That's so not fair Mum. So in a quick attempt to get me a taste I came up with a cunning plan. I spied my chance whilst they lay there on the coffee table. I managed to nudge them off with my nose so I could get a better look. This unfortunately is how I was found out. When they fell off the table they made the biggest bang. Mum came to see what I was up to and obviously wasn't happen about my actions. I grabbed them before mum could and ran across the other side of the room. I made sure mum couldn't get them off me by hiding them under my leg. After a quick photo opportunity, mum put them back where she said they belonged. Evidently she didn't mean my belly.
Maybe I will have better luck with plan B, I just need to find the right moment.

Tasty Tuesday | Kong Quest Review.
Lottie loves food. What dog doesn't? So for her birthday which was the 12th July I decided that most of her toys would be food orientated as that's what she seemed to like best.
After much debating in our local Pets At Home store I settled for a Kong Quest Bone. We love the Kong brand in this house and Lottie nearly has the full collection. From our experience they are durable, fun and can really come in handy when us humans are not around. Lottie is very used to a stuffed kong either frozen or unfrozen. So when we saw another product that can be filled with treats I just had to buy it. Boy am I glad I did.
Over the weekend we had some really high temperatures with some parts of the UK reaching 30 degrees. Dogs and heat are just not a good combination and Lottie really suffers as the heat rises. Luckily her frozen treats come to rescue and I only have to open the freezer and she knows exactly what she is getting.
On Saturday morning I decided to use Lottie's new Kong Quest to see if it reached up the normal standards we expect. Needless to say it reached them and higher
About two hours later I looked to see if it has frozen, and it had! As soon as I opened the freezer door Lottie came bounding through in excitement. Once I actually had the toy in my hand she rushed outside and waited patiently on her bed until I came through. After I few photos she could finally do the taste test.
Her normal frozen Kong will last her around 20 minutes depending on what we stuff it with. The Kong Quest however lasted her a good 45 minutes and even once it was virtually empty she kept going back to it to empty that tiny little last bit (Something she doesn't do with her normal kong, often there is some still left at the bottom).

Tasty Tuesday | Treat Review | Purina Delibakes stars.
Things have been a bit hectic due to my upcoming surgery. But here is the review of one of those treats.
From our local Pets at Home store I purchased Purina Deli bakes stars although they are available in most pets stores/supermarkets.
They cost £1.29 which is more than I would normally spend, but with the tempting packaging I decided to give them a go.
Once I opened the packet the smell hit me straight away, and they certainly do smell baked. In fact they nearly smelt good enough for me to eat!. Cheese and beef were prominent as stated on the packaging. Inside there were 11 deli baked stars which are about the same size as a 50p piece. For the price I was a little disappointed with the quantity. Lottie would soon get through 11. We do purchase similar treats with double the quantity for half the price. So for me to repeat purchasing them they would need to be good.
Lottie was extra keen to try one and could hardly wait she even tried to get into the closed packet! She eat the star in under 1 minute. And seemed highly impressed and gave me a paw to indicate she would like more! They must of tasted extra good as once we had finished the taste test I had to put them away in the cupboard as she just wouldn't leave the them alone.
Needless to say Lottie is trying to pursuade me to buy more! All things said and even though Lottie really liked them I think I will be waiting for the stars to be on offer before I purchase them again. The main factor is the price which I just don't feel is appropriate for the quantity of treats. But for a extra special treat or if you don't mind spending a little extra once in a while these will definitely be for you!
Unfortunately this will be my last doggy post for a while. My surgery is going ahead on Thursday and I will be in hospital around 2 weeks. Lottie is looking forward to her extra long sleepover at grandmas which is where she will be staying while I am in hospital. I will be sure to keep you guys updated on Facebook on how everything goes.
