Monday Mischief - Sock thief

As I have mentioned to you guys before, Lottie really has a craze on socks at the moment. She just can't get enough of them. She likes to pinch them out of the washing basket, stand there with her bottom up in the air as if to say "come on then run after me!". Which I always do. We run around the house for a while until Lottie knows I am starting to get angry. By this time shouting "Lottie I'm not playing, give it here!" has failed and I turn for the fridge for help! Normally a small piece of cheese does the trick!

Right on cue for Monday Mischief blog hop. I caught Lottie in the act.

As you can see she had pinched rather a collection! No wonder I can never find any socks to wear.

I think somebody is trying to hide!

Does you dog like to pinch things they know they shouldn't have?

  1. Oh, Ruby is a consummate sock thief, too! Having me chase after her is one of her greatest joys in life.

  2. You are a member of the free toe liberation league aren't you Lottie. Socks just aren't natural.

Our dogs thankfully are content with the old ones. They haven't been hunting those we currently are using although towards the end of winter Katy was eying the fuzzy socks that were on the ground as fair game.

    1. I really don't understand her. It's must be an teenage thing as she never used to do it before.

  3. Hmmm, now Ma is wondering if Lottie comes to visit since we always lose a sock during laundry. All those poor socks without a partner.

  5. Sadly, Blueberry is not a thief of any of my stuff (I am a weird human and find sock thievery completely endearing), however, she does like to try and steal some of my dwarf hamster's toys/habitats if the opportunity presents itself. All of his stuff is made out of chewable things like grass, cardboard or coconut. So you can see the draw there! :)

Lottie is SO photogenic - just gorgeous!

    1. Thanks for the kind words, I'm currently trying to teach Lottie not to pinch out of the washing basket. Although up to yet it doesn't seem to be working. I think she finds it way to fun!

  9. Wow, Lottie does have quite the collection of socks. None of our dogs have ever been sock collectors but I have had a shoe chewers before. I am really careful about keeping my closet door shut even though no one has touched my shoes in years. Just to be on the safe side!

  12. Charlie is always stealing socks! Sometimes he even tries to take it from me while I'm trying to get it on my foot! I probably shouldn't find it as cute or funny as I do especially after so many socks have fallen victim to his puppy teeth!
